FanFiction
FanFiction is a term used by many independent writers who write original stories within an existing fictional universe. It may also involve using characters from said universes and putting a new spin on them. These are done with no other purpose than for the creative enjoyment of the writers who enjoy the fictional universes or feel they have better ideas for the stories.
